Dont put it in the formula as you may not get the correct amount in the baby. Always give the proper dosage and only after the kid eats. If it is colic you both are suffering from have the doc prescribe some AXID.

Gas Drops In Formula

It might not be the formula. My baby had a huge problem with gas, so I went and bought the Evenflo bottles. They're the ones with the "one-way" holes on the bottom of the bottle, and it eliminated bubbles. It worked like a charm. And after you're done shaking the bottle, let the bubbles settle first. If that doesn't work, then by all means try the gas drops. I used those too and she was just fine!

you can put the reccommended dose in but did you try gentlease lipil by enfamil ? Thats what we had to use for my son when he needed supplemental formula. but your baby may have an allergy to milk or may need a lactose free formula. Ask your pediatrician b/c i know of some people that had to get a special prescription formula as well. Also we loved the playtex ventair bottles after trying many others b/c they seem to let the most gas out of the bottle. make sure to burp your baby frequently during a feeding to make sure all the gas comes up and hold your baby upright as possible for as long as you can after a feeding. I hope this helps.

First off you are suppose to leave your child on the same formula for at least 2 wks before switching and the way you have worded your question makes me believe that is not how long your baby was on each formula....the dr told me that it takes a formula a few wks to start working once you switch! So I would start doing that first...

Second..have you ever thought your baby may be need lacto free fromula....

If those dont work I would contact the dr.....Although at times i did put gas drops in my sons formula..but it isnt something that should be done every time...plus they dont work w/ every baby!

Don't mix it in the formula - if she doesn't finish the bottle, she won't get all of it, and that does no good.

Give her one dropperful up to three times a day, right before you feed her. (If she spits it out or it runs out, shoot it into the side of her cheek so it has nowhere to go but down her throat.)

Also - try burping her more frequently = even after every ounce or two. Make sure the openings in the nipples aren't too big or small = too big, the formula just rushes out and too small, it's too much work for her to suck so she also swallows a lot of air.

Mylicon is good but I heartily recommend finding Gripe Water. Works much better than Mylicon.

Give whatever the dosage requires for the weight of your baby, but if you are going to give it in the bottle, you should be sure that she will drink the whole botttle
