I have often wondered this but haven't had the guts to try it! It's funny, people can walk around with needles through their lips and tattoos on their faces but if you wear two different colored socks, everyone remarks on it! And I'm sure it would turn a few heads if you wore a short and long sleeved top! But maybe if enough of us do it, it won't be so odd to others! Actually I have seen tops like that on t.v. style shows. I've just never seen anyone wear them.

No. It would be too retro. Unless retro is hip, which it could be. The look to me is 70's disco and 70's glam rock. But I think they went one further with one long sleeve, and then no sleeve with a bare shoulder or spaghetti strap.
The answers here are bugging me out. The description sounds off the wall, but when you see outfits like that you don't really think all that much about it. Or maybe just on rock stars?

Don't allow anyone to tell you what you should think style and fashion IS. Decide for yourself.
Clothing designers worldwide become famous for their 'oddball' looks and strange designs.
Who knows, you might start a new fashion trend entirely by doing it, make sure you take some pictures of it so that when it DOES come into fashion, you can say YOU did it first.

I agree with all the answers..... Its weird, but could be hip... but I won't be wearing it anytime soon. If you like it, then rock on and don't listen to other people. If your kinda iffy in the shirt or feel awkward when wearing it... then don't. Good Luck!

It would depend on the shirt. I think it's neat and I think people have small minds and hate anyone that looks different. Do what you want. If YOU think it looks good, then wear and and screw everyone else.

I think you'd look pretty silly. It doesn't make any sense to have one long and short sleeve.

Well, it would look really weird, no offense. but you can try a short sleeved shirt with a cami.

No. Just stick to the nice simple 2 long or 2 short. It's classy if not "hip".

No, don't ever do that because it would look completley stupid and make you look trashy and tacky, like you couldn't afford the other sleeve.
