...the storyline was hard to follow, the plot was formulaic, and the special effects were real cheap-looking. Anyone else have this problem?

Daleks on daytime soap operas take some adjustment and some getting used to. Especially when the leggy blonde seductress has the Dalek in the bedroom, between the sheets.
