Not I and I'm a Red Sox fan. Jeter is a great player that makes some outstanding plays...as a baseball fan if you hate Jeter you need to find a new sport. I don't hate the Yankees either...the Red Sox vs. Yankees games are sometimes more exciting than playoff games (I would much rather watch the Red Sox vs. Yankees than the Astros vs. White Sox). Do I dis-like some of the Yankees fans? Sure, I think a bunch of them are arrogant, egotistical, stubborn know-it-alls that get on your nerves quickly...but what team doesn't have fans like that?

Being a Sox fan, of course I can't stand the Yankees, but Derek Jeter? No way, that guy runs through walls to catch a balls. He plays 110% every day and is clutch in the playoffs. I would take him on my team any day. He is what is good about baseball. I am not sure I would rank him as the top teir short stop though, but he is still damn good. As far as A-rod is concerned, per the poster above, maybe Jeter doesn't give him the time of day, because he knows, like the rest of us know, what a jerk A-Rod really is..

I guess I will never understand how the word "hate" can enter into a conversation involving baseball. The Yankees have always been a top franchise and Jeter is one of the top players on the team. If you take to word "hate" out of your question and replace it with the word "respect" it would make much more sense to me and you would still get the answers you are looking for. Why would anyone hang around something they hate? Maybe Football or basketball is more suited to your liking.

I like Derek Jeter I think hes a good captain but I dont like the Yankees. I dont like the Yankees cus they and the Red Sox are way over rated. GO Chipper Jones and his Atlanta Braves.

No you cant hate derek it would be just like hating bonds jeter is a outstanding player even if I am not a yankees fan I still think jeter is one of the best but never like omar visquel dont hate the player hate the game.

Derek Jeter is by far the most overrated player in baseball. Hes good, but hes not the dominant player that yankee fans and some people in the media(espn) make him out to be.
The Yankees, well i guess i dont hate them, just their dumb fans.

As many said, if youhate Jeter you aren't a baseball fan. He plays the gme the right way and says the right things. He is going to go down as one of the best SS ever to play, and probably will have the most hits ever as a SS.

Jeter is one of the best shortstops to play the game and i like the yankees cause they got pride.
