I didn't mean DIET........sorry I meant DECAF, and he said intercourse and the tea to help bring on contractions because I am 75% effaced and only 1 cm dialated and he is going to induce me if my cervix doesn't begin to open on it own in the next 5 days.

I think you probably missed something in the translation, there.

It's raspberry LEAF tea that's recommended as a uterine tonic.

Jury's sort of out on the safety of artificial sweeteners, but I really doubt any doctor is RECOMMENDING them. And "tea" is calorie-free; it's only when you buy it pre-made and pre-sugared that it turns into high-calorie junk. And stuff like Snapple really is junk food; I don't think, again, you're thinking of quite what your doctor was thinking of.

Call your OB's office and ask exactly what was meant, okay?

You don't need "DIET". Just regular raspberry leaf tea. Has no calories. You can get it at your grocery store usually in the natural foods sections. BTW, Snapple's raspberry tea isn't going to have the same effect. You need freshly brewed. Easy. Just use whatever artificial sweetener your doctor OKs for sweetening or just drink it right down instead of sipping.

Also, you can usually get it bulk at a natural foods grocery store and then just get the small amount that you need.

Try Walmart. Walmart has all things. Also health food stores if you are looking for pure tea. Sometimes stores like Big Lots has diet products. Kmart. Target. A major store that sells food as well as clothes, etc. It shouldn't be that hard to locate diet raspberry tea.

For the best quality and medicinal use of tea, loose tea from the health store is your best option. (You buy it in bulk)
They have many different flavors, including raspberry. Also, none of it will have any form of preservatives or unnatural flavoring. Because tea in it's natural form has very little calories, it depends upon your choice of sweetner as to whether or not it will be diet.
My girlfriend's doctor told her to use the same tea for uterine toning, and she found it to have the best taste as well. Because you are the one who measures the amount of loose tea into a metal strainer, it's up to you the intensity of the flavors.
