For example, does blood type matter or perhaps skin type or even fragrances or lotions? It has always baffled me how some people tend to get eaten alive while others don't even suffer a single bite . . . oh and this is primarily for mosquito bites.

From one source:
"Some people seem to attract mosquitoes more than others. Empirical studies of mosquito bites suggest that the risk of being bitten follows an approximately negative binomial distribution. Being male, being overweight, and having type 'O' blood may increase the risk of being bitten. "

I've also seen mention somewhere that eating bananas or drinking alcoholic beverages increases the risk!

i think all things u said r important to be biten but most of all is how wet and how much your skin evaporates cause they r attracted from warm wet worm and also parfume.... one thing i can tell is the negative blood is less important for mosquitos i do't know way,
and they do not bite sick people like who has cancer or ..other serious sicks

It depends on how they like you. I am getting older and the skin is tougher. It is also depends on how much CO2 u put out.
