Usually when starting the pill for the first time or switching brands, your period may be unpredictable for the first month or two until your body gets used to it.

One purpose of the pill is to regulate your cycle. Once you start a pack of pills, your period should fall within those "placebo" days (if you took them correctly).

When counting the days between periods, you should start with the day that it began, not the day that it ended. That may be why you are not coming up with 28 days (note, that every person's cycle is different, but the pill helps regulate that)

You'll most likely get it early this month when you reach your 3rd/4th placebo pill. Every month after that you'll get it routinely at the 3rd or 4th placebo pill.
