well this is the wrong catergory, but I have done this before. It is near fledgling age, so you wil only have to take care of it for a few weeks. Most pet store sell baby bird food. Its like baby cereal, you mix it with water and feed them through a syringe. Call the humane society, they may have more advice for you.

Aw! Your grandma is so sweet! I found a baby bird once and i took it to the local vet and they took it, but i think they probably put it to sleep, which is sad. Could you call the RSPCA to collect it or something? I really admire your gran x

Call the RSPCA as they will know of someone who can take in small birds. Thats what my mum did one day and a lady took care of it and when it was big enough she let it go! You cannot look after it, it will need proper care x

Baby birds are extremely hard to rear. Get in touch with the R.S.P.B. as quickly as you can. They have specialized centres for dealing with this kind of problem and will advise you.

She must not touch it. it's parents will feed it with earthworms, woodlice and other small living creatures. Blackbirds leave their nest before they can fly properly. If touched by a human, it's parents will abandon it and will die.
