I know I won't get the retail price out of these rings. We were together 15 years, the set was purchased about 8 years ago.

It's still listed on Kay's website for $13, 000. What are your suggestions for a reserve price on eBay?

The ring is well cared for, I've never lost or had to replace any stones.

Here's a link to the ring info on Kay's website:

http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10101&catalogId=10001&productId=940023800

Thanks in advance! :)

If it were me I would take it and have it appraised at what it is currently worth. Like a previous poster said I would also have it cleaned and polished so it sells better. You can also go around to different jewelry stores and ask them what they think a used ring would be worth. I hope I have helped. Sorry about your divorce. I wish a very happy life for you!

Well, it is a high value piece, but it is used.

I would take it to Kay's have it professionally buffed and polished so it looks like new.

I would put a reserve on for $9000. Remember the reserve is the lowest you would be happy with.

****EDIT
Sorry I just went on the link. Did you mean 13 hundred not 13 grand?

OK put a reserve for 800 or so.

You might get $200-300 for it. Old jewelry rarely brings in more than 5-10% of the retail cost. Kay's and other retailers mark the price up by at least 10 times-- their average retail mark-up is 100% and higher.

You should have it professionally cleaned and appraised - then set the reserve for 1,000(300 less than the current retail) used diamonds are actually still valuable (the appraisal will give it credibility). Good Luck and I hope you get a great return on your investment!

Take it to the region the place it became offered & they could appraise it for you for unfastened. inspite of each and everything, they did get their money from it interior the 1st place. See in the event that they w/write down the information for you so which you will keep in mind. Then i could ck. your telephone e book interior the telephone e book the place they purchase gold & jewelery. See what they w/provide you for it. i could pass to a minimum of two & 3 places in case you could, consisting of the place you acquire it. There are too many stuff in contact w/diamonds, & you like a expert to offer you the cost of it. Ask Helzberg what may be the backside fee you may settle for for it. maximum places think of persons are "dumb" or green w/the procuring & merchandising or jewelery, so they are going to provide you a ludicrous fee on it. So once you pass to make certain what you could sell it for, attempt to act such as you a minimum of understand something approximately what you're merchandising. ie. it has a solid readability to the vast stone, there is no carbon that exhibits making it a solid colour. (carbon exhibits up as gray aspects in a diamond making the stone have much less colour whilst finding at it w/o a microscope jewelers use, & IF there's a superb kind of carbon interior the better stone, that's seen via the bare eye) So the extra they think of you're up on diamonds, the fewer they are going to think of they are able to take you over so which you will no longer get the cost of it. The carat of the gold is in lots of cases engraved on the interior the ring as in 12k to 14k.. solid success to you....:)

".... nobody wants to buy " your bad luck", especially for 1.3k. But if you do sell it on ebay Start it for 500, you may just make another couple happy. Else talk to the pawn shops maybe you'll get 200 for it.
