Unfortunately they are, as prostitution is illegal. I look forward to a time when individuals, not the government, own their bodies.

I really wanted to avoid the fray over differences... but I see a lot of people are commenting that affair is not our business and prostitution is... so I must ammend
... sorry to those who might have given a thumbs up before this and would like to retract.

Using your elected position to pay for sex in the form of preferential hiring both as a Whitehouse staff member and then in an $88k Pentagon job..over those who had more legitimate qualifications is a greater wrong than using ones personal funds.
There are 3 officers serving 25 years for having affairs with their subordinates during this same time period.

Extramarital affairs are not any of our business. An exception to this is cases where an official has made public comment about the topic and then is revealed to have participated him or herself.

Engaging in prostitution is of public concern if laws were broken.

Yes it happened to Clinton it should also happen on the other side of the aisle. If you are running a campaign on moral values and saving the sanctity of marriage then get caught with a hooker I think it should be exposed.

Yes, so long as they continue to regulate our own private business we have every right and responsibility to find out what they're doing themselves.

Half of these guys are hypocrites that would write laws against their own behaviors thinking they'll never get caught.

When they try to legislate based on 'family values' and by trying to be the 'morals police' ...YES they should!

Walk the talk...absolutely!!

EDIT: This wasn't 'an affair' the guy was hiring prostitutes!!
If he were a regular guy he would be prosecuted!!

only under the theory of if they cant be trusted with a little why should they be trusted with much. there job is to take the will of the people to the government office and vote based on that will. if they cant do that at home (im the spouse would want them to be faithful) how can we then be sure they will truely carry our will to the government and vote accordingly. so yeah it does make a difference

I don't know, but I am sure that I don't care in the least.

I care how they are voting and what legislation they are proposing. Who they got a hummer from on the side does not interest me at all.
