That's adorable! Go for it... she can use that name and shortened versions too as a princess and later as a professional. I like it.

Shea Stadium is where the Mets play. Everyone knows that. She'll be called Shea (for short) and all the boys will be jawing about how they "got to third base" at Shea or did a "line drive up the middle" or how next friday night is "bat night" at Shea, "twi-night double-header" etc etc etc.
SheaLynn also sounds slightly African-American.
"Shea butter" is a popular bath product these days.
My fave names are: Anne, Jill, Molly, Sue, Meghan.
Look to other cultures for good names. For instance, there was a female forensic pathologist on a British mystery program who had the name "Greyling". Unusual, but very cool, and you know it'd be unique. She's be called 'Grey' for short.
I also like the name 'Riley' for a girl.

"Shea" like butter? SHE WILL BE CALLED SHEE-UHH!
Too trendy. Try not to do something trendy. Your daughter will be one of 6 Sheas, 10 Maddies, 4 Taylors, and 9 Ciaras.
Try Siobahn-pronounced Shuh- Vonne. A real Celtic name.
You could still nickname her Shaye-
Try real names, not made-up names. Remember she will be a grown up for a long time. I can't picture a judge or real estate professional named Shea-maybe a stripper or bank teller.
Cute, but drifty.

I'm pronouncing it Shay-lynn? Is that right? I like it a lot! It's cute, not everyone has it. Kids will find a way to make fun of everything, as long as you don't name her Fanny or anything like that....that's just providing them w/ ammo.
Lots of cute nicknames may come out of it...Shea,
Shea-Shea....I really like it.

It's cute but why not just Shea for the first name and Lynn for her middle name

Perosnally, I think it's beautiful!
A good way to tell how much you like a name is to say out loud in different tones, as if you were speaking to the child:
Happy, angry, scolding, encouraging...etc.
If you like the way it sounds... go for it!
If it sounds weird to you... well, like you said... there are many cute names for girls.

I'm sorry but I just don't like it. It seems too made up. I do like the name Lynn. I believe that Lynn is a very graceful name. Sorry.

you want something that is easy to pronounce...that name can be said in at least 4 ways...that only leaves room for people to make fun, and for you and your kid spending life correcting people...
its pretty, but keep that in mind...and yes, most people will get it wrong...
i'm almost 40...people are still finding new ways of pi$$ing me off with my name being mispronounced and misspelled
