how many months does a baby start to see things???

They can see right away. There is no color and it's blurry.

A baby starts to see light in the womb.

When a baby is born they can see about 12 inches, which is the distance from mothers breast to her face, perfect for bonding.

At about 2.5 months baby can see almost aswell as the rest of the family, just not long distances.

4 1/2(embryonic period) weeks to 8 1/2 weeks(the beginning of the fetal period) is the critical period.
check out the book i sited below. has a huge chart on page 120 for all those ?s. There are many many more topics. I am reading it for a college class in child development.

i have a five month old sister and to my belief they can see about 12 inches away at one month

babies can see from birth,but they cant focus properly
