I can't say I'm 'the best' at what I do, due to the fact I am continually learning more and more with each passing day. Do I receive recognition for a job well done? YOU BET I DO!! By my family - AND strangers who have the chance to meet me with my kids in tow. Yup - I'm a STAY AT HOME MOM and damned proud!

I do a great job at what I do. I have received recognition for a "job well done" on several occasions.
I get to work 15 to 20 minutes early every day and sometimes stay longer than expected, sometimes this is not always by choice. I admit.
Over all I do a great job.

Yes, I have received some recognition over the years. I don't focus on receiving them though. I just wanna make a living without being in the spotlight. If I did, I'd be a movie star or some other celebrity.

I would say I'm competent at what I do but not the best. No, I never receive recognition for a job well done :-(

Dear Amanda,
My thinking goes to say -I am the best for myself, for the people I care for, for my interests!- That may be being a great business man, employee, dad, son, lover, YA addict, cook (I do cook), whatever! I get recognition out of their eyes, admiration or their thanks on other stuff the results I get and my self image.
So I don't compare much with people out there, I know there would probably be someone better at anything I do... ergo I can learn from them or get their help. I know there are people who I can help and doing it is a ton of recognition even if I didn't get a thank you.
Very interesting question! Glad I found it.
Regards,
P

I try to be the best at what I do, and no, I do not always get recognition for it. That's just life!

I think I am good at what I do, but I think I can be better, so I always try to improve more. I do get recognition sometimes. I think everybody need that, every once in a while, it makes you feel appreciated at what you do. Even though you shouldn't need that if you think you are good, but, still, it's a good feeling.

I do not think I am the best; just a "worker" as far as "thataboys", well, you can't cash them at a bank!! Sorry Amanda for not being able to answer most of your questions, but by the time I get home from work, you already have a best answer! Hugs, chat soon, Joe.

Yes, I was the best at what I did and my salary reflected that fact. And yes, I often received recognition. I am retired now and do not miss it at all. That was then, this is now. =)
