I listen to reggae....not the Bob Marley type, The movado type (its heavier than main-stream dance hall).
I listen to this music because although I don't believe in coming down on anyone for being who they are (the whole anti-gay lyrics thing) They do also talk about poverty and real issues, so I rate it.
Some of it is pretty violent, I'm not violent without being provoked, but I like the violence in the lyrics..... I know its terrible!
I LOVE linkin park! I listen to linkin park when I need to know that its o.k. to feel the way you do sometimes. I love somewhere I belong! It's one of my fav's
I remember meeting this girl in college, and Monday morning she comes in with a concert bracelet on her wrist, so I asked her "who did you go see" and she replied "you wouldn't know them, some rock band" So i was like don't worry about if I know them who was it?" and she says "evanescence"
I was like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuHQl708gYE and she was taken back. She said and I quote...." I didn't think you'd listen to them..." why is that? because I listen to hip hop?
I was offended. I hate when ppl think that blacks don't listen to rock or alternative....I mean look at the many great combinations of rock and rap that have blown the **** off the charts!

I think more than personality, it reflects mood. When I was young I listened to rock and folk-rock [it was the 60's and70's]. The energy of my age was expressed in the music. I could identify.
Now I listen to different things but mostly classical. I find it to weave a spell of where I want to be... where I am comfortable... where I understand the language.

Yes I defiantly feel the music you listen to reflects your personality!! I am a die hard Paul McCartney fan, so I listen to a lot of Paul and old Beatles, but I also like a lot of Classic Rock! As a twist, I also LOVE Lincoln Park!

When I am in a frustrated/indignant temper I will pay attention to Manson, Bile, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, Papa Roach, Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Adema, Avenged Sevenfold, Tool, Zeromancer, Godsmack, Green Day, KoRn, Rammstein, Definitely a few Lacuna Coil, Mudvayne, Linkin Park, Offsping, Prodigy, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, VNV Nation. When I am worn out or cozy I will pay attention to Placebo, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Lynard Skynard, Dave Matthews Band, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, CCR, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Cruxshadows, Bella Morte, Beborn Beton, Voltaire, Hendrix, Joplin, Grateful Dead, Josh Groban, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots. I don't think so. Most of the time people are confused when I am blasting Sinatra through 2 15" subwoofers.

Mabuhay! It means long live.
Based on my own point of view. Their is no such thing that MUSIC can be the reflection of our personality. Because I BELIEVE that we are the only one who decide WHAT TYPE of PERSONALITY we can choose to be. Remember that all of us has their own FREE WILL to CHOOSE what particular personality fit you the most; and besides we are the one who will decide in the end which personality suit you the best. As long as you have the right attitude and have a strong connection with yourself and God, we can be what we use to be.
