I vote for "both".
Both of them were great bowlers and good batsmen. Another thing - they both won the World Cup as captains of their respective countries.

I consider Kapil Dev as better allrounder as Kapil Dev has got better statistics than Imran Khan

For Pakistanies it is Imran Khan And for Indians it is Kapil Dev.If you want to know the real answer ask to a person not from Pakistan and India.

Definitely Imran Khan because he was a reliable batsman.... Kapil Dev could deliver with the bat too but he was too unreliable...

I give the edge to Kapil Dev.....as both have won the World Cup under their own leadership.
Kapil Dev is a different player altogether.....He can handle all the situations in cricket.
I still remember the knock which he played against Zimbabwe in 1983 World Cup of 175*. That was the most wonderful knock he played in his life!!

No doubt on that Kapil Dev is the best all-rounder and he was consistent in all those periods of play. We can rely on Kapil Dev. His captaincy proved success for India too.

Both are equally good players with creditable performances for their teams.
But Kapildev was consistent over a long period from his debut till his retirement. Imran Khan dominated for a much shorter period.
So Kapildev edges past Imrankhan..
