They are crawling on my dresser and i want to know what causes them and how to get rid of them, but I need to know of course what kind of bugs they are. They just look like little white dots moving around very slowly and there are plenty!!

Do you have a plant sitting on your dresser?
If so, it could be spider mites and you can get rid of them by spraying a soapy solution on them. mix 1tsp of dish soap in a spray bottle of water. If you don't have a plant on or near the dresser then I have no clue without more detailed info or a pic.

Maybe they are one of the many varieties of ticks. Whatever
they are, get out the ant and tick repellant and spray them to
death. I wouldn't want anything with a white dot moving around
in a swarm in my house LOL. Get the Raid, quick!!!

They could be anything... spiders, larvae of flies (maggots) if you left any decaying food on your dresser...
Clean it up, and that will get rid of them

they might be small beetles. all you have to do is kill them with a tissue or something. or you could buy expensive bug poison. i have little beetles all over my house and when i see them, i kill them.

throw out the dresser. sounds like lice.
