The Fuel Pump Cutoff Relay....

The Fuel Pump Fuse...

The actual Fuel Pump?

The fuel filter has already been replaced, but the car is not getting fuel, everything else is fine. Thanks in advance for any ideas you might be willing to share.

the problem is typically with the main relay on that car. the main relay heats up when the car is parked in the sun and the interior temperature rises; this causes the circuit board on the relay to crack and interrupt power to the fuel pump. the main relay is located under the left side of the instrument panel to the left of the steering wheel. (roughly located behind the coin tray). It should be brown in color but may be grey. It is almost always the relay that fails.

the fuel pump rarely fails. it is in the fuel tank and can be removed by taking out the lower rear seat cushion to get access to the fuel pump cover on the top of the tank. It would be unusual for the problem to be with the pump.

the fuse for the main relay is in the underhood fuse box and is a 7.5 amp fuse. This is the longest shot of the three as there really is no reason for the fuse to overload and burn.

My guess is you have a bad main relay. you can buy one at any honda dealer and put it in yourself.

hope that answers your question

The main relay is somewhere under the dash. It's usually in a difficult location to get to. Try honda-tech.com and search there. Or buy a Helms service manual for you car from pep boys, autozone or advance auto. You can see pictures or the location

best way is to take it to a mechanic for them to check it out. Sounds like a goofy problem , but I guess it could exist. also, it could be from the engine warming up, so the incoming air gets hotter, which does make less power, although not substantially. could just be the fact that there wasnt much power to begin with :P

Fuel pumps are expensive. Start small like the fuel injectors. They might just need to be cleaned.
