I have a questions concerning periods....(Sorry if its too much info but there is no one else to ask) This year I had my first period, and ever since then they have been two months apart. Is this normal because it takes awhile to get regular?? Or is this not normal? And for some reason, my period had turned a darker brown instead of the normal red. Is this okay?

Also, a few days before, I had like a few tiny little spots of blood. Is this like a sign I will get my period soon?

I think it's fine. It will probably start coming more regulary soon enough. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

It can take a few years for a cycle to normalize. Don't worry.
The darker brown period is old blood. It is perfectly normal. Most women get it at either the beginning or end of their periods.
The red spots are the beginning of your period. Time to use a pad.

It may take a couple of years for your period to regulate once you start your life menstral cycle. As for the dark blood- dark means old blood and bright red is new fresh blood. You may have some shedding of your uterus after your period in which case dark blood will be present. With out knowing your age it is hard to tell exactly what is going on. If you are under 16 and not sexually active you should regulate within the next year. If you are sexually active it is time to ask mom or an aunt if they can take you to a Doctor.

in the first year or so, your periods may be very irregular. takes awhile for the hormones to even out. the darker brown blood is just "old" blood. may be left over from last month. i get the brown blood at the end of my period. but yes you are completely normal on both questions.

Welcome to womanhood!
It is completely normal for you to be irregular for even up to the first year of your cycle. Once your periods start to come on a regular basis, the cycle is 28 days; you count the first day of your period as day #1. On a calendar, mark the days of your period with an x. Using day #1 as your first day to determine your next cycle, count up 28 days, then put a ( . ) (period in a circle) to alert you that another one is to start. Mine always, once they became regular, came 3 days early.
Your body will adjust to your cycles and how long your cycle actually lasts. As for the color, it could be from bright read to the darker brown you speak of, so you shouldn't concern yourself with that aspect.
Bloating feeling, gas, cramps, irritibility, headaches could signify your cycle is about to begin, there are several OTC medications that will help alleviate these symptoms. Always keep protection with you in the chance you start your cycle while you are at school at the mall, etc. Unlike when I was growing up when sanitary napkins were big bulky items that would be obvious when I opened my purse, nowadays sanitary napkins are compact and can hide in the bottom of your purse in the packs they come in now.

It should be regular from now on. The light spots in your underwear mean you've just now started again. If it stays at it not coming back for a couple of months, then its already at its normal pace.
The brownish red is just how the lining in your uterus is colored. Everything is normal and fine with your period.
hope this helps!!

i think you should consult a doctor for advice as it should have been 28 day cycle. however i have some friends who have their periods once every 2 months.. so all in all, seeking advice from professionals would be better
