A needle infected with HIV is being planted in the chairs at movie theaters. When you sit down, you get poked with it. So ridiculous!

The Licked Hand or Bloody Mary (everyone knows that one! If not, Google it.)
The Licked Hand:
There was a girl, about fourteen or fifteen, whose parents left her home alone one night when they went to visit friends in the next town. They would be back late the next morning, and the girl wasn't afraid to spend the night alone. She had a dog-it was only a little collie, nothing fierce, but she was sure it would protect her if anything bad happened. So her parents left late in the afternoon, and she settled down to watch tv with her dog. She fell asleep in front of the tv, and when she woke up the local news was on. The anchor said that there was an escaped killer in town. He was to be considered armed and extremely dangerous, and citizens were advised to keep their doors and windows locked and stay in the house. The girl was a bit afraid, but she was still confident that her dog would protect her. She decided to go to bed. Her dog always slept underneath the bed, and it made her feel better to know he was there. She stuck her hand under the bed and he licked it, and then she fell asleep. Around midnight, she awoke to a steady dripping noise. She couldn't figure out what it was, but she stuck her hand under the bed and the dog licked it again, so she was reassured and fell back asleep. A while later, she woke up again. The dripping noise was still going, but once more she stuck her hand under the bed and once more the dog licked it, so she was sure everything was alright. The girl reached under the bed several more times during the night, and the dog licked it several more times, so she figured everything was okay, even though the dripping noise wouldn't stop. In the morning, she got up and went into the bathroom, which was right off her bedroom. When she went in, she was greeted by a grisly sight: her dog was hanging from the showerhead, its throat slit, its blood dripping into the bathtub. Drip... drip... drip... And written on the mirror in blood were these words: Humans can lick, too. this basically means that it was the escaped lunatic that had been under the bed the whole time, licking her hand, and she had thought it was the dog, which he had killed while she was asleep in her room.

My favorite:

The Hitchhiker
A young man is driving down the road and spots a young woman on the side of the road, alone. He picks her up and offers to take her home. She thanks him and tells him the address. She's quiet most of the way. He nears the house and stops. When he looks at her seat, he realizes she's gone without opening the door or anything. He wonders if, somehow, she fell out or snuck out. In some versions, he goes back to look for her, or had let her wear his jacket or scarf. Finally, he goes to the house and knocks. One of her parents comes to the door and, sometimes shocked and appalled, sometimes just tiredly, tells the young man that the daughter died some time before. Disbelieving, he goes to the cemetary and finds her grave. His scarf or jacket is hanging there. He learned, also, that he picked her up in the very spot where she died in a car accident or from being hit by a car.

In one version, my favorite that I can no longer find, the young man picked her up and carried her home, having fallen in love with her. He watched her walk to the door and go in, then decided he couldn't let her out of his life and went to the door. The parents were surprised to find their daughter was not yet at home and, while he was there, the phone rang and the sheriff told the parents that she had a car wreck right where he'd picked her up, but he didn't see the wreck because the car had crashed behind some trees. It was sad because there was a chance he might have saved her life if he'd found the wreck instead of her ghost.

I also like the tale of the woman who gives a cold-looking little girl a coat and discovers the girl was killed on that spot, some time before, and had been out begging so she could get a coat and get warm, or so one version read.

^This young couple is out parked on a country road. The girl is real nervous and uneasy. It seems that there had been a report about an escaped criminal in the area. He was supposed to be dangerous, a mad killer. They called him "The Hook" because one of his hands was missing and he wore a hook in place of it. He was supposed to have used it on all of his victims. Anyway, the girl was real uneasy for some reason. Supposedly, they were not aware of the escaped killer. She kept saying she had an uneasy feeling but she did not know why. The guy finally got mad at her. He thought she was just making up excuses because she didn't want to park. Finally he lost his temper and stepped on the gas. He really tore out of there fast. He didn't say a word on the way home. When they get to the girl's house, he just got out and went around to open her door. When he got to the door, there was a hook hanging on the handle.

that would have to be the one where the woman is driving at night and some dude keeps flashing their headbeams at her car until she gets pissed and pulls over. Than the guy tells her that a man snuck into her car and every time he got up from the back with a knife the truckdriver would flash his lights...

OR THE ONE ABOUT THE HOOK... you know teenagers at lovers lane making out and than a new report comes on the radio about an escaped serial killer from the lunatic asylum with a hook for hand... and how her boyfriend hears a noise and drives off. While he drops her off at home he goes to open her door only to find a hook hanging from the door handle...CREEEPY

I like the story about the guy that filled hundreds of balloons with helium, and attached them to a lawn chair, and took to flight with a bb gun in his hands for when he wanted to land.
