When you ovulate and/or get a period (and what your symptoms feel like) after a miscarriage depends on how much hormone is left in your system. Your hcg needs to go down significantly before you'll restart your cycle. You could begin monitoring your BBT and taking pregnancy tests every few days (dollar store variety to save $) and see if the line gets lighter or darker. I had a miscarriage 2.5 weeks ago and the line has nearly disappeared. If it were getting darker again, you would want to see your doctor for possible pregnancy.
And you CAN be having sex, my doctor told me as soon as the bleeding stopped from the miscarriage that there was no problem with it.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also had a miscarriage. I lost my baby May 8th. My period arrived right on time, the same exact date it always has June 15th. Now I am having pregnancy symptoms with no period and negative tests. I am just as confused as you are. I have been told 100 different things from 'Your body with take 3 months to get back on track'... To 'You might be pregnant but your hormone levels might be so low from the loss that it might not show on a urine test'... My doctor is no help telling me to check back in 45 days if I still have no period and they will do blood work. I am sorry, I wish I had answers for you... I just wanted to tell you, you are not alone... Hang in there & good luck to you!

i had a miscarriage in april last year at about 7 weeks. i had a really heavy bleed then 2 weeks later i bled again so they scanned me for 'retained products of conception' but there was nothing. i then missed my next period, got the period after that and then fell pregnant with my daughter and didn't realise as i assumed my body was still messed up. i only got very faint positives with the test as i had with the baby i miscarried so i was waiting for the same thing to happen again. you will be all over the place for a while and they do say to wait 3 months before trying again. good luck x

hi, i'm sorry for your loss. I was in the exact situation as you a few years back i miscarried @ 6 wks on the 1st feb we had sex for the first time on 14 feb (valentines!) and fell pregnant. I spoke to several midwifes about the dangers of being preg so soon after the misca but they said if my body wasn't ready to concieve it wouldn't have. I would take a test in the next couple of days. Good luck i hope you get the answer you want.

hi im sorry to hear about the misscarrige it must be really hard for you. I think you are more fertille when you have a misscarrige. so you could already be pregnant. wen i fell pregant my boobs hurt me and my nipples changed the stuck out alot more. if your not pregnant, on the test it will take about a minute to show neg but if u are it will come up straight away. I would take one now so you no. but if your not i think u will come on your periods soon good luck and try not to get stressed.

If you recently had sex and you're feeling sick and you have aches in your breasts, then, if I were you, I'd take a test whenever you get the chance. My advice to you is to take a test when you first wake up in the morning before you eat. That way you'll get a perfect clear answer. Good Luck.

A blood test can show a few days after conception. EPT tells you 5 days after your missed period. Good Luck

you should not be trying for a baby so soon, your suppose to let your body recover first, and you can still be feeling like that from the miscarriage. and if you took a test it might show up positive from the old hgc in your blood
