I think there are plenty of people wha want to be an organ donor but are too lazy to register.

Automatically putting people on the register will solve that problem, if you feel that passionate about not being on the register youll have to get off your butt and give them a call.

Nobody is being forced into anything.

Either way we have a choice.but the way it is now is better for the rights of individuals,Imagine doctors now took organs that had not been specificaly signed for there would be legal action taken straight away because consent must be gained same as with any opperation. If they change the priority to we will take anyway ,because we can, and if you forget to opt out of donation its your own fault,if you have opted out and they take your organs they can say in most cases its normal anyway to take,or we couldn`t find opt out on computer.
How many people will have organs taken without their consent and how many cases would be taken to court without being thrown out.

i must say that being automatically on the register is a brilliant idea, then to opt off if donating your organs is not your wish,
i would stay on the register cos lets face it, you dont need anything when you are gone, and the thought of hundreds needlessly dying through lack of donated organs is awful, children aswell !
you just have to try to think if it was you or one of yours in that position of needing a new heart or kidney etc how grateful you would be that that certain matching person had been on that register !

We shud automatically be put in for organ donation. I cannot see how you could allow another person to die just because somebody doesnt want give another person an organ. Do people not understand that they will be dead, and not need their organs anyway. People need to accept that death means death and they should definitely give the other person the cahnce of life. Put yourself in the shoes of your child or your mum or dad needing an organ, and they will die without it. Seriously consider giving an organ, it is the best thing you can do with your death.

I believe that everyone should be given the choice but i like the idea that everyone will automatically be put on the register and then have to ring up to be removed if they do not wish to donate.

I think we should all automatically be put up for organ donation, and then it's up to the individual to take them self off the register.
