ingesting or swallowing chewing tobacco can kill you. It isn't meant to be eaten.

No but my old boss used to swallow a lot of it when he dipped throughout the course of the day and he got really bad chest pains. He was rushed to the hospital with a suspected heart attack and he actually had ulcers in his esophagus and throat from swallowing too much of the spit. Would imagine eating it would tear up your stomach.

You mean snuff? Yeah, when I was a teen. Guy didn't tell me not to swallow any of it. Got monstrously sick.
