I was training yesterday and I twisted my ankle. When my coach put an ice pack on it, it burnt my skin and now it's rather painful. How can I treat the burn and my ankle at the same time?

Though burns from cold temperatures due happen. An ice pack is unlikely to cause a burn.

However, it can easily cause frostbite. That generally requires a doctor's care, as it can cause blood vessel, nerve, and obviously tissue damage. Submerge in lukewarm water to bring it back up in temperature (water that is too hot can cause further damage). Cover in sterile bandage and see a physician.

General rule of thumb is that:
1) Ice should never be allied directly to the skin
2) No longer than 20 minutes at a time.

Sounds like a second degree burn. Just keep it clean and inspect it daily, contact a doctor if it doesn't get better, in other words treat it like any other burn.

coach should have known better than to put ice in direct contact with your skin, shame on him. Suggest that now it is time to see a doctor....frankly, I'd give the coach the bill.
