I get a kick out of people who think they 'own' their property!
No one owns anything but the government!
We 'lease' all of our property from the goverment.
They at any time can take it if they really want to! And the people in Texas and Oklahoma right now are feeling the effects of Eminent Domain for the development of the NAFTA superhighway in vast numbers!!
Search for newspaper websites in Texas Oklahoma and you will find article after article with stories of these people's struggle in opposing this!!

1) We pay less tribute
2) home owning conditions haven't changed in terms of debt, but more people are now able to afford homes
3) that isn't an argument FOR socialism, which is still a political solution that drives away producers and stifles competition and thus the economic forces driving prices down
4) Basic needs cost more in a socialist society, the price is hidden in the huge taxes everyone pays. As the "rich" leave, being unjustly taxed above and beyond any reflection of what anyone else pays, the number of jobs available decrease, the highest tax payers disappear leading to more taxes on the next level down, and standard of living drops. This process repeats until the economy is no longer sustainable, degenerating into ruthless government oppression to maintain the status quo.
No thank you.

As a conservative I really appreciate murderers and other low lifes that live on the public dole and don't worry about paying for anything that they either want in life or have stolen in life. Who is powerless, it's certainly not the poeple paying the lion share of taxes in this country. The trouble with people that do not understand the economics of America is they think "socialism' is free when in reality it is paid for with tax dollars by people a lot more productive than you.

Now that's a biased question. I own two cars, and will own my home in about 7 more years, because I worked hard and made extra payments. Currently the bank owns it, but that's okay seeing as how I live in it and only have to pay them 5.75% interest on my mortgage to do so.
Time to get a job buddy. I know you think those of us who work hard should just take care of you, but it's just not going to happen that way. Socialism only benefits those who don't want to work.

Yes- I don't understand this one either. Why would you pay taxes for the likes of Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush to become even richer?
Did you know Defence stocks have a very healthy prediciton for the next ten years- Raytheon especially?
That wouldn't be coincidental would it?
Note-
Socialism does not benefit people- but moderated capitalist economies in a social democracy does. Finland, Japan, Singapore, Norway and many others are proof.
Your USA now has medical refuges. Sad isn't it- 45 million Yanks are sub-human in treatment terms in their own nation.

As a liberal, I totally agree. I don't own my apartment. It's a rental. My dad has to make house payments! He also had to make car payments for like 4 YEARS! What is that all about?! I told him that was just insane. He told me not to worry and gave me another credit card and a lift to the mall. He's okay.
Good question. Good for YOU!

Powerless how, exactly. You seem to spurt tons of trash but never any facts to back it up. Mostly they come off as sour grapes rants.

Socialism doesn't benefit people. Read an economics book, and maybe a history book or two.
