I think she loves seeing her name in the news. While I have sympathy for her loss of her son, she has gone over the edge in using it to gain notoriety.

She is a distraught parent. Although I have not experienced it myself, I think losing a child must be one of the most difficult events a person can experience. I think, not unlike many who lose a child, she was initially looking for someone to blame.
President Bush was an easy target, so that is the direction she went in.
The reason Pelosi won't push for impeachement is that she knows that President Bush has not, in fact, done anything illegal. Pelosi would lose all credibility (assuming she has any) if she pursued Sheehan's suggested course.
What's in Bush's heart and mind? Nobody KNOWS the answer. What is known is that:
1. Saddam Hussein was believed to have WMD's by most intelligence agencies around the world.
2. The U.N. passed resolutions that essentially told Hussein that if he did not allow COMPLETE AND UNFETTERED ACCESS to inspectors, he would suffer severe consequences (which meant that they were endorsing an attack/invasion if he did not comply).
3. All Hussein had to do was comply. He would probably be alive and still n power today if he had not tried to play games and manipulate the process. Many experts believe that Hussein himself was still under the impression that he still possessed WMDs.
The issues above made it perfectly legal for Bush to do what he did. Further, the vast majority of the legislative branch approved / green lighted his actions.
This is why he won't be impeached and would never be convicted.
Sheehan is being used by the extreme left of the Democrat Party to advance an agenda. They let her go on the rampage while they keep a safe distance and watch it all unfold. Pretty dispicable really.
I voted for Bush twice. He has let me down on a variety of issues, and I can't say that he has been a great leader. What I will say, however, is that when 9/11 happened just months after his taking office, it changed everything. He was bound to get hammered by one side or the other no matter what he decided to do in response to 9/11.
I will say that it is time for the Iraqi people to rise up and make the nation they want. Nobody can do that for them. They have to step up - now.
Our military has done everything a military can do. They have done their job very well. The Iraqi government is failing. So are, frankly, the Iraqi people.
If it weren't for some brave and selfless colonists back in the 1700's, we may not have the nation I am proud to call home today.
So where are the Washingtons, Jeffersons, etc., in Iraq?
Oh, the answer is no. I would not vote for Mrs. Sheehan. She is operating under severe emotional distress instead of rational, intellectual reason. Many of our legislators could use a strong dose of intellectual honesty, come to think of it.

Cindy Sheehan is an absolute mess of a woman, a shrill nutcase aging without grace, who someday will end up in a cramped apartment shared with 37 cats.
How in the world does this self-deceived psych job consider herself qualified to be Speaker of the House? Oh wait, it's the typical Liberal mentality. I almost forgot, we live in an age where everyone has the right to be an instant expert in everything.
Maybe my name is Barbra Streisand, and I barely graduated from High School, but I am now a renowned climatologist. Maybe I'm Al Gore, who almost flunked Natural Sciences in college but puts on the same charade.
Maybe Cindy Sheehan can read a book on dancing and become a ballerina overnight. Hey, this is the age where real credentials are not only unnecessary, but looked at with contempt, as if someone who really knows what he is talking about is just showing off.
Cindy Sheehan is absolutely delusional. She still thinks that if she plays the bereaved victim card long enough she'll be dealt a Royal Flush.

I am a Republican and a Texan. She would not run in Texas (she would lose very badly here).
Assuming I was in San Fransisco and Cindy Sheehan ran against Nancy Pelosi I would consider voting for her in that I would like very much to see Pelosi gone.
I agree with you I feel sorry for her in the death of her son but think she has lost her mind. I do not think she would be "good for the country" but she would have little to no power if she was elected over Pelosi, and would be better for the nation than Pelosi is.
I think the left really took advantage of this woman, and preyed on her for their political aims. Her lunatic actions are more their fault than hers.

She is an uneducated woman who is using the death of her child, who re-enlisted in the Army which means he liked it, to become famous...why should the President take time to talk to one person, why was she important...it is sad the SPC Sheehan died, but 3000 others have died too...did Clinton take time to talk to the families of the soldiers who died in Somalia, Kosovo, or Bosnia? Did he explain why he sent American Soldiers into a Civil War that was not supported by the UN (Kosovo and Bosnia) No he did not...where was Cindy then? The reason I call her uneducated is because only uneducated people think that the President can actually be Impeached...impeachment, now that is funny...she was here in my town on Saturday...there was a huge counter protest...how disrespectful can you be to protest a war while the entire 3rd BDE of the 3rd Infantry Division (Rock of the Marne!) is in the sandbox? She was lucky she didn't get her butt kicked...a person from the "Left Coast" should not come to the South spouting their lame theories...why doesn't the Main Stream Media show the parents who are proud of what their dead Soldiers have done and support them and their mission? Cindy does not support the Troops, she supports Cindy...who is paying for her trip anyway? I went to her protest...her nose is a lot bigger in person and she would not answer my questions on why protest now, and why she is so important....
EDIT: Mac you have been brainwashed by the Left...the most Patriotic thing an American can do is pick up a weapon and toe the line...and Jefferson never said that dissention is the most patriotic thing a person can do...

Cindy Sheehan spoke out against this war and this President. Good for her! She used her power to Dissent and that is by FAR the most American and most PATRIOTIC thing a US citizen can do. Regardless if it's a Republican President or a Democratic President who is in office and you don't agree with with what they have done or the direction they are taking the country.

Cindy Sheehan is no different that John Edwards and Al Gore, she is self promoting by using a personal tragedy to gain support and be seen.
She is a pathetic excuse for a human being and a slap in the face to mothers worldwide.
As long as the media continues to give her photo ops she will continue to spew her venom and vitriolic hatred of our country!

She is a distraught mother that has lost her son in a questionable war. Had Bush stopped to talk to her, in private, she may have taken her grief and went home. By his refusal to acknowledge her, he gave the media fuel for the fire.
No, I would not vote for her. She is just lashing out at Pelosi for not following her agenda.
I actually know a young man who went to school with her son, said she was always just a typical mom. loss of a child can send some parents into near insanity.
I am a Liberal, was a Republican till I saw what damage Nixon/ Agnew did.

She has gone way too far with all her actions, and to me has only ended up making herself look bad. While it's certainly a sad thing that her son died, she needs to move on.
