original xbox games on my xbox 360? I think I need a back up disc of some kind but where's the best place to get one? Is there anything I can download and make my own back up disc?

I know the game I have is backward compatible aswell

If you don't have internet connection, download a cd from this website http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardscompatibility.htm#disc.
Just follow directions.

You just need a connection to the internet, so as your 360 can download upgrades. The only games immediatly playable are Halo 1 and 2.

I would say you will need to have your xbox connected to Live. Then the next time you try to play the game it will tell you an update is available for this game. When you accept the update there should be no problem with playing the game.
