I have Verizon wireless. I am looking to get a new phone and I was asking a verizon rep @ the local store about all of my ringtones that I bought thru VZW tones deluxe. I was told that there is no way to transfer my ringtones to a new phone. I have about 15 of them & they are like 2 bucks a piece. That seems like a HUGE rip off to me. I paid for them I should be able to keep them. Anybody know how? I know how to transfer my pics & contacts. Why haven't they come up with a way to transfer ringtones?

It is just like downloading music (legally) Don't you think that it is unfair if you were to I don't know bluetooth a song you paid 2 dollars for to about 10 of your friends? The ringtone is going to be locked to your phone so that they make sure there is no copyrights broken. It sucks but its fair. What I would recommend is getting a MP3 phone such as the SYNC or something similar to that and converting one of your MP3 songs to a ringtone so that when you have to change your phone again you won't feel so upset about losing money. Just an idea. I hope this helped.

They want your money. They could very easily keep track of what has been downloaded to your account, but that's life.
