Just like they did when Hillary did the same. Or can we expect just the same old double standard as always?

There's a double standard with a lot of things. That's life. I hope his wife won't be attacked. I'm sure she's been through enough already just in her marriage and it being on the news. I admire Hillary for standing by her man. Not everyone can forgive and move on like that. Divorce rate is high enough. Plus, divorce isn't easy on kids and maybe these two women want to protect their children from the pain of divorce. Maybe they have an understanding that when a man gets that high, powerful, and wealthy that tons of beautiful women are throwing themselves at them. Wealth and power changes people for the bad. He probably wasn't like that when she married him. Maybe he'll come around now that he's been found out.

No. She was open and honest on tv about forgiving him
several years ago and going on with their marriage, which
they have done. There's not many on the Hill out there without
skeltons in their closets (look at Kennedy) and they still seem
to stay in office, so this is merely a blip in the Vitter's life and
politics will sail on as in others with the same sins in D.C.

That depends. Will Democrats blow off David Vitter's behavior as "just sex" and accuse Republicans of being old fuddy duddies? Or can we expect the same double standard as always?

Wow, When did Vitter's wife enter the Presidential race? Is her husband a serial abuser of women like Hillary's? You are a female I assume, that doesn't matter to you? What kind of woman are you? If you believe Cathleen Wiley, Clinton is not only a habitual abuser, but a rapist, which he probably is, and that doesn't bother you? That a woman would stay married to a rapist simply to advance her political career. That pretty much sums Hillary up, doesn't it?

A few differences here. Bill Clinton has a long record of affairs, unwanted groping and even a accusation of rape. Hillary Clinton did what she could to cover up these charges to get him elected. She has stayed with the marraige for power. The clintons are evil people but very charismatic to many that's why people vote for them.

sure he might desire to go away, that's a case of selective amnesia for the replicants. additionally they stored John Ensign around for 2 years after his persevering with affair became revealed. Tom Coburn tried to help cover up the Ensign affair and he might desire to go away too. by some skill they do no longer want to confirm the wooded area fot the timber.

Hilary Clinton is being "attacked" because her decision making skills are suspect. She claims that she never new about Bills philandering until the Monica Lewenski affair. How can a woman who is that clueless be expected to run a country?

David Vitter's wife, as far as I know is not seeking public office and therefore a different standard does apply.

I love how you liberals try to white wash everything to try and prove your lame points.

Different people, different situations. Get over it.
