why kill it? i'd take a big empty jar and put it on the top of it, get a piece of paper and slowly sliding it underneath it so the spider wont escape...then just take it to the window and throw the spider out...keep the jar though... ;) i do it with every insect that doesnt fly...but i kill mosquitos, that's for sure ;) but i dont get rid of the small spiders...they help with flies

I personally kill spiders. I hate the Wolf spiders the most and they are not easy to kill but then I am not easy to give up on killing them either. If they are outside that is a different matter. I just let them go and do their thing as the outdoors is their turf and when they are in my house then it is my turf and they don't pay any rent to stay here so it is lights out and then we have a good rain because I was raised to believe if you kill a spider it will rain.
If it is a daddy long legs, I do put them out though. But something as hairy and big as a Wolf Spider that's different. They are the worst things to see and just to big for me.
It does matter to each person as how they would handle having a spider their home or not. It is my choice to KILL certain kinds of spiders and I don't feel bad about it. That doesn't mean I am a bad person, it Justis means I don't like big Hairy things running around my house and I would freak out if one were to get on me as they sting a person and it is not a pretty picture for the person who has just been attacked. You have allot of good ans were, but I am on the side of the answers that say kill them.

Place a designated margarine tub over the little creature. Then slide a piece of paper under the tub, between the edge of the tub and the floor. Pick both tub and paper up together, and bring them outside. Find a grassy place, or a bush, and shake. The spider will be grateful.

This also works well for wasps, which kill other insects and appreciate not being inside houses.

Depends on my mood. And how ugly the spider is. I usually call for my mom to come kill it....
Crap! What am I going to do now that I moved out with my brother, and he's just as scared as me?!

I do put bees back outside. I won't kill them.

It's been some time I saw a spider in my house. Anyway, once there was this big one, on the ceiling. One of my uncles was in our house, and he tried to kill it but it got away. I was so happy it did!

I try to kill it after I'm done announcing that there's a spider in my house.

I don't like to kill things. Little spiders and bugs are just trying to make their way in the world like the rest of us. I capture them and let them go outside.

Set it free outside.
I only kill cockroaches. I am sorry I do, but I really can't catch them and put them out! But i don't have them here so often, maybe once in 5 years, because i have a cat and he takes care of it (lol).

I hold a piece of paper near it and let it crawl onto the paper, then I take the paper outside and shake it so the spider will fall onto the ground. Then I throw the paper away.
