I have grown to distrust either party since the reign of Ronald Reagan as President. Both parties have been infiltrated by corporations, and the Democrat Party was infiltrated by communists and then socialists, while the Republican Party was infiltrated by religious whackos. I probably distrust the Democrats more, however. They are all socialist minded and if we let them control the country, we will turn into another evil socialist country like the joke France now is, ever since socialism took over there. They lack strength in the category of national security and none of the Democrats running in 2008 were war heroes or veterans. Most war heroes and veterans are registered Republicans, and this has been proven. So, if I had to choose the lesser of 2 evils, I pick the Republican side, because they are the tougher and more pro-American party, unlike the Democrat Party, which wants to sell America out to socialism.

I agree.

I will never vote Dem, since I believe they will sell out America for socialist goals.

However, the Rep are so far from their conservative foundations, I'm not sure I can vote for them either.

I believe we all need to fight to eliminate the two-party system and make individuals stand on their own values, rather than party values.

I like your train of thought. I love republicans that can see the flaws in their party as well as others. I would think that biblically the Republicans are the lesser of the two evils simply because the bible is law eventho some use it as propoaganda. Constitutionally I think that the Dems are the lesser of the two evils becuase while extreme socialism is bad moderate socialism shows concern for our fellow americans and makes this place a better (and cheaper depending on the subject) place to live. Since their is a clear seperation of church and state then the dems would be better overall. As far as corporations taking over gov is concerned it is considerably more wide spread in a republican administration

What I use to determine what is the lesser of two evils is based on the evil itself.

Which party stands up for the rights of those who can not fight for themselves (i.e. the unborn child )?

which party has no problem killing someone because they determine that the persons quality of life does not match their own standard?

Which party feels a murder deserves to live and kill again, while the unborn child can be killed on a whim?

Anyone can determine where both parties stand on these issues, and then pick the one they agree with, I just hope that there are not that many evil people out there.

Other than McCain who is now in 3rd on the GOP side, 4th if you include the not yet announced Fred Thompson, how many war heroes are there on that side? When did Giuliani serve? Was Romney in the military? How about old Freddy Thompson? Let's see he was in the.......?
Besides McCain the only ones running who have any military service are Chris Dodd a Democrat who served in the army from 1969 to 1975 and Republican Duncan Hunter who served in Viet Nam. Neither Dodd nor Hunter are even close to being front runners.

So, yes it is 2 to 1 two Republicans served and 1 Democrat. The only one with any chance is McCain and we know how his campaign has been faultering of late.

Nice try, though.

Vote for a Republican, the only that's the main conservative. which skill they recommend smaller government, decrease taxes and appreciate for the form. do no longer vote for 0.33 occasion applicants. which will in basic terms chop up the vote and advantages the incumbents, who're people who've messed issues up so badly interior the previous 300 and sixty 5 days and a 0.5. and don't think of that your vote isn't substantial, because of the fact this is in basic terms one. it is the main serious mid-term election in many years.

If I thought for two seconds that my vote for a third party candidate would count, I'd go that route. I know better than that and refuse to waste a vote that will end up benefit ting the one person who scares me more than others (no names need be mentioned).

We really need to clean house on the hill and rid ourselves of everyone who has sold out. Socialists, wackos, and anyone who supports corporate monopolies. All three are equally dangerous in different ways.

I'll vote for Thompson, if he ever gets into this race.

Yes the present administration has done a marvelous job. Bush, the war hero, has started war he doesn't know how to finish, Cheney, that admirable veteran , has goaded and prodded at every opportunity to raise the value of his Haliburton stock. Karl Rove that sterling example of integrity has definitely done his part in keeping politics open and above board.
Lesser of two evils, give me a break.

I think they may be equal, but the Democrats are scarier. The Democrats perpetrate evil in the name of "the common good," and "compassion." This way, people are sucked in because they think that the Dems "mean well" and "care" about people.

I think so. I am an independent but I usually vote Republican. For me it comes down to economic freedom.

You've fallen into that lesser of two evils BS. Who says you have to vote for the lesser of two evils. Vote for a third party candidate. You might not win, but you sure as hell ain't gonna win
if you vote for the lesser of two evils.

I believe that's how we got stuck with another 4 years of the embarrassment that currently occupies the White House.
