We can't

We can't even tell Mexico to quite letting people of questionable documentation cross our southern border.

Pakistan is an accident waiting to happen, so short of carpet nuking them, their politics will not allow a strong response to the Al-Qaida presence in their country.

You haven't been keeping up with the news have you? Pakistan is a sovereign nation. A nuclear armed sovereign nation, to be more precise. Besides Musharraf has hinted that his policy toward the radicals is going to be changing since the Red Mosque incident.

Pakistan has being trying to help us but they simply do not have resources to combat the problem. If anything, we should offer them more assistance.

You appear confused. Pakistan is not America's lacky to do as we say. They do what is best for them. If we want them to do something that is best for us, we ask (not tell) and make it the best thing for them to help us
Alternatively, we can invade them to, create more monsters and terrorists then sit back and tell our civilians after another 9/11; "we told you so"

Almost seems we have to trade something for their help, but I don't know why, simply becasue they are as much danger as an attack as anyone aligned with the US. We SHOULD ask nicely, but without reservation. We don't need another country with nukes to be mad at us.

That is what the Liberation of Freedom from world war two was all about.
What "King of kings" were all about.
What "King and I" were all about.
What "Say you say me" were all about.
What "Knowing me knowing you " were all about.
Ever wonder where do we stand on planet earth?

The Bush "way" would be to use force. But I think a diplomatic solution this time would be much preferred by everyone invovled.

"How can China tell the U.S. to help them or get out of the way?"

Does that sound fair to you?
