Someone should tell him that we Americans don't care about that gay sport called soccer. In America soccer is regarded as a sport for girls or for guys who couldn't make the American football team, Basketball team or Baseball team.

He is coming to our country because him and his wife cannot stand the fact that they are not celebrities here in this country. Everywhere else they go, they are treated like some kind of celebrity royalty. He is just a soccer player.
Soccer is not big here, it never will be big here. It is boring to watch and the league is going to lose a lot of money for dishing out all that loot to a over the hill washed up soccer player from England. Major league soccer is attaching itself to Mr. Beckhams falling star and they will be sorry.

Soccer is actually a very hard sport to play. I mean come on it's people running on a field for 90 min. straight. I wanna see the average basketball star or baseball star do that. It's really tough. I don't play sports either, but soccer would be the hardest to play out of all those. Also you'd be surprised at how soccer is popular in the US. Hence why Beckham is coming to our country. Oh, and he's getting a lot of money.

He's making a lot of money playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. Soccer IS football in Europe.

money and attention...He and his wife want the Hollywood "fame and attention" here just like they had it in England...and money of course.
It's not for the "love of the game" because everyone knows soccer is almost completely off the sports radar in the US and the fans in Europe are as passionate as the come. It's all money and fame and anyone that tells you differently is crazy.

David Beckham is coming to America for one simple reason: he was invited. It's a good career move for him, and Victoria is planning on going on the road again with The Spice Girls. You don't have to like it, but then, that's what makes this country great. It's freedom to like or dislike whatever we want.

Americans don't like soccer because you are all crap at it and can't win the World Cup or compete against any European teams. As for Beckham and his wife, we are sick of them so you are more than welcome to them!
