Hello, I ride a 2005 Yamaha V-Srar Classic 650 and recently I hit a hole and dented my rim. It is a spoke wheel and the lacing and truing job on it is quite costly.

Does anyone know where could I get nicely-priced aluminium (mag) wheels or spoked ones...

I am starting to think about purchasing mag wheels...

I tried a couple of salvage yards online but it is merely impossible to find a front tire that is intact...

Thank you in advance

Go here and ignore the prices. i will get you a price when you e-mail me the part number you want.

Wheels are not cheap and good wheels are just expensive but man it makes a difference.

ebay sells some really low priced laced wheels. I think I bought a 16x3 1/2 40 spoke for around 100 dollars. It doesn't seem to be any diff. than the made in Japan Harley ones. FYI, on all of the Harley wheels I've seen, the hub says made in the usa. take off the tire and the rim says made in Japan.

You can find anything you need for a decent price at J&P cycles. Try their website online at either JPcycles.com

I talk with a lot of custom bike builders and they all know of this website. It's worth a shot.

Call around to privateer shops (not model specific dealerships).
They always want work and will work on almost anything.
They will beat dealer hourly rates, to get customers.
You'll get a better price on wheel lacing.
Check around.
