My friend Chloe asked me this. She guessed that it is because so many of them screw up and get left with a kid after the guy takes off, and then they are "out of the dating scene".

That's right. Take the soft option and blame the Men for someone who couldn't take a pill. If it is Her body and His child, then Those fault was it? Single, with child, is, if memory serves Me correctly, still single. Who is to say that 'unmarried Mothers' are not going out and having fun? Is Their status tattooed on Their forehead? You and Your friend, Chloe, sound like You need to do some serious thinking about the way You relate to other people and to stop making generalizations.

Good grief - how many girls do you think get up the duff in their prime? Girls often just stay at home, go round to a mate's, attend educational establishments - visit the library or visit their parents. A lot of the time, young women are not looking for men, but when out and about, men are looking for women and it's noticeable. Clever Chloe for pointing it out.

What Jackal said. There are in fact 51% women, 49% men. For a woman to be in a relationship a man has to be in one as well. It's just not logical.

Unless men are dating multiple women at the same time, of course..

Factually, there are more women than men in the world.
This fact means that it is almost impossible that most men are single, and most women are married...there would simply not be enough men.
Doesn't that contradict what you said?
I think that the first answer was quite right
Or maybe I'm wrong
After all, I'm only 15.

LOL, that's a possible answer.

I think that it's because women are more selective about their mates. More women than men are wanting to be in serious relationships.

It's just a guess.

Single men are often in active persuit of a mate; (not just for sex) and a companion.

Studies have shown that women are better at living without a companion then men; Not necessarily physically, but psychologially they withstand solitude better.

So women can decide not to persue a mate and can maintain that status for longer.

Cos most women cant live without having a partner and money provider. Females just want to be a stay at home person while the man makes the money for her to spend. If he will not provide- she will just go and find someone else, HENCE. most men get wise and stay single,

I have 3 girlfriends but most people think I'm single... which I am. Basically.. men don't 'advertise' the fact that they are in a relationship.. thats all.

It actually depends on where you live. Look at this article:

Apparently, single guys and single girls concentrate in different places. If you are looking for the ladies, you need to go east. If you are looking for men, go west.

Weird.
