Sand will come in many colors from pure white to dark red and almost black. It is expensive and most people will use a powder to colour it.

I have coloured cement as I mixed it with emulsion pant to replace some of the water but you need to experiment.

if what you mean is the jointing sand in block pavers, it does come in slightly different colours like yellowish and Orange and also a reddish colour but you need to decide what colour you want as it does slightly change the effect of your pavers, but don't worry to much because after a while it all looks the same anyway

no the sand used in block is sharp sand and it does not show in the paving ..the sand used in filling the joints is kiln dried and is just brushed in and will have no colouring effect

No,there is a powder dye that is used that you can buy at any masonry supply and specialty outfit.My family owns a masonry supply warehouse.

no you would use a fine sand so that it goes down between the joints

No. They use concrete dye that is added to the mix before it dries.
