I am talking about superheroes with superpowers (Superman, X-Men, Captain America)

We already have everyday heroes with our military, police, & firefighter forces.

My dad had super powers. He could make me laugh when I was really sad

first, to respond to rodawg7, the part about using only 10% of our brains is absolutely false. We use our entire brain, just not all of it at all times

As for having superheroes in the future, I would say it's a possibility with advances in genetic engineering and cybernetics. Sure, we may not see a person with the power of Superman, but humans with cybernetically-enhanced strength and genetically tailored DNA could have strength beyond the strongest "normal" human beings

But, there are a lot of people who would declare practices like that unethical, so there would be a lot of stumbling blocks

Not really. I wish there could be, but the way the government is going, it will be impossible for anybody to hide his secret identity, and you will have an awful mess (like in Marvel's Civil War.) The government will ABSOLUTELY NOT allow anyone with powers to operate, unless they are working directly for the government. They'd have not only the bad guys after their loved ones, but the 'good' guys, as well.

It is possible for variations of the types of powers to manifest in a type of genetic mutation but that would take thousands of years. It is possible for enhanced powers to come to the fold, especially what would be considered super strength, dexterity, and mental powers, but then again that would also take generations to create naturally.

So near future for superpowers I would say not. Extend future, one can always hope.

No, I don't think people would actually develop super powers. Sadly, if they did, we would likely destroy them the first chance we had (with the US no doubt spearheading the effort). If it was something we couldn't kill right off the bat (i.e. Superman), we would develop a method with which to do so.

I really don't know. probably, if scientists create a cerum that reacts with only one type of blood, and whoever has that bloodtype, if injected with the cerum, would have super powers. now whether those people would use it for good or evil is up to them, but i really do believe that it could happen, i just don't believe that scientists would have the time to make sumthing that might not work, but theres hope
Thats my opinion, hope i helped. please give me a best answer, i could really use one, thnx :)

sure, and this is interior the Bible so it is going to ensue!!! First the Antichrist will take over the international, then Jesus will contain all of the saints and win the conflict of Armageddon (Rev. sixteen:sixteen), then the hot earth would be created, and all Christians and Jews will reign on the earth as clergymen and kings. this could be the Millenium. on the top of the Millenium, the earth would be renewed lower back and we'd have yet another Millenium.

i think its possible for people to develop some super power in the future but i doubt there will be heros. i think its like a species thing where everyone has it and not just one individual.

think of it this way we only use 10% of our brains even if just a logical level we could develop telepathy over thousands of years getting somwhere around 25% usage. if that is possible once that part of our brains is opened up anything is possible and that is the kind if thinking that motivates people.

Nah, that type of genetic mutation would obviously die early after birth
