YES AND NO!

No, because a lifetime is constituted by a series of right and perfect moments of creative choice. It is impossible to fail to be in the moment, even if one is not aware they are in the moment. It is impossible to miss the right moment, because "right" is a judgement imposed in retrospect by the one who experienced the choosing. Therefore it is possible to choose to judge every choice made as right, and thus is impossible to miss it.

Yes, because in every moment, every possible choice not chosen is a possible lifetime that will never happen, and other potential lifetimes will inevitably seem "greener on the other side" in retrospect. Further analysis will inevitably reveal that every choice made could have been chosen better if the choser had considered more information in their decision, and this is true for everyone who ever lived because human omniscience is impossible.

So, this means that in every moment, everyone alive is missing out on an infinite number of potential lifetimes because they are making choices.
AND
this means that every moment is a moment of pure creation, where the person is choosing both the stimulus observed in the moment, and their response to that stimulus in that moment.

Finally, this means that the one and only way to actually miss the right moment, is to lose focus on the moment by thinking about a previous moment in retrospect. If a person were to think about previous moments in retrospect for their entire lifetime, they would miss a lifetime of right moments. Therein lies the curse known as ...

Dwelling in the past.

Be here now, make decisions, and don't look back. Live every moment with gusto and joy and passion, and be the person you wish to see in the world, NOW!

The only way I can see this question, is that if a person means the specific lifetime IMAGINED, had the moment not been "missed." If we were able to go back & change just one little thing, our entire lives would be altered. There's absolutely no way of knowing in what ways. Missing that moment might have been the best thing you ever did, if you could track the consequences to the present, which you can't. Some people have been very critical of me when I've said I have no regrets, made no mistakes, would change nothing. They basically call it a lie, conceit or denial. This couldn't be less true. It's philosophically SOUND. Everything in life is part of a chain. It is the balanced flowing of our total lifetime. (It is also psychologically healthy to realize this & not ponder "what might have been.")

Edit: I liked Godself, especially the third paragraph. Also NOLAGURL!!! "While we think we are MISSING a lifetime, our moments and actions are creating a life FOR US." We seem on the same page....Yes?

The moments is which is live are given to us and shared with us by those we hold close to your hearts - friends and family. You have heard the saying - "don't count the moments by the number of breaths you take, but rather by the moments that take your breath away." It is in those moments, the ones when your speechless and the world stops just for that one split second for you, it is in that moment that if you miss life, then you miss the moment of a lifetime.

The right moment happens all the time, we miss them everyday and everyday a new moment of your lifetime will present itself - it's knowing why they happen, but when that moment happens - embrace it.

If were you standing in line to buy a lottery ticket and there was a person standing right behind you to do the same, but the next day you won the lottery - would you spend a moment of your life, thinking about that person behind you, that they missed the moment of there life, possible....I'm not saying money solves all the issues of the world, but to say in contrast that missing a moment, you can miss the opportunity of a lifetime.

and that is just the way the life is sometimes, we seek and find moments that will last us a lifetime instead.

No I can't miss out on a lifetime just because I missed a moment; maybe I can miss a lifetime if I choose not to take up the moment! Moments or choices are always there it's just the matter of doing the right choice! To think and choose wisely is the key to get through lifetime without missing out on anything! So message to everybody here: Always choose wisely in life; don't let things just fly out the window. Cease it and take care of it or else you are not going to miss out but you're going to lose a lifetime!
Thank you :-)

One can not miss a lifetime by missing the right moment or opportunity. Certainly however you can never have that moment back and therefore you can miss the opportunity of a lifetime. But....there are many moments and many opportunities that come our way. By missing some of those lifetime opportunities it can make us sharper in awareness of the next ones to come along and with building our life upon moments by one moment at a time, we will learn to recognize and appreciate those we do take advantage. Enriching our lives in ways that are only learned through what we call, failure, enables us to build more successful and powerful lives.

If you miss the right moment, you have missed it, not to be recovered. Any other moment you get will be just that, another moment. So if it means that by missing the right moment you miss a lifetime then i say yes you can miss a lifetime by missing the right moment.

How would you know if the right MOMENT has passed anyway? If there is such a thing.

To speculate that the LIFETIME you were destined to have has passed by missing one MOMENT would denote that you believe you are better than the life you have. However this is a baseless position to put yourself in, bound with limitless torment. Life is a mixture of fateful consequence combined with an endless selection of either good or bad choices.

To dream of a better life is natural.
To stress about missing the right MOMENT is futile.
To do nothing about improving your LIFETIME life is fatal.

I don't think you will miss a lifetime, but your lifetime can possibly be changed dramatically by missing the right moment. All things, good and bad, have worked together to bring each of us to this exact point in our life. Imagine the differences we would see if any number of single moments had been different in our past. It is things like this that may mean the difference between living on Snob Hill or being homeless; the difference between dining on caviar or dumpster diving for your supper. "All things work TOGETHER for the good of those who know the Lord, and are called according to His purpose."

I do not think that you can miss a Lifetime, just by missing the right moment,it depends on every individual, what are their hopes or Dreams.

Absolutely, missing out on the right moment can alter your life forever. Nothing is as important or should be more of a priority than experiencing and living in all of the moments life has to offer. I've missed out on some real perfect moments that altered my life's direction - and the regret of never having those moments come around again taught me a very valuable lesson. Don't let one moment pass you by...
