does anyone know or have any information about where i can get used or reconditioned HPLC and GC equipments, i would be more interested in contacts in europe, US or anywhere where it can be imported into the UK.

You can search on Ebay, but most of what you see will be junk or missing critical components. One of the absolute best places for good used lab equipment is labx.com, you'll need to register as a bidder and the system is a little more primitive than Ebay, but I've outfitted almost our entire R&D lab here from Labx at about 5% of the cost of new equipment.

Also check the trade papers...the RSC's monthly publication carries adverts for equipment, as do others.
