Freddy Vs. Jason: Several ideas for a sequel to the film have been proposed. Many of these involve additional characters from other horror franchises. The use of Bruce Campbell's Ash Williams character from the Evil Dead franchise had been considered, but this idea was halted when Evil Dead creator and director, Sam Raimi, decided against it. However in the special features of the Evil Dead: Regeneration game Bruce Campbell himself says that the rumors are "partially true" and he would be willing to do the movie should it come about. According to an interview with Englund from March of 2006, New Line Cinema had participated in talks with John Carpenter concerning the use of Michael Myers in a sequel.

Yeah the Freddy vs. Jason sequel with Bruce Cambell from Evil Dead.
Anyway, I think new Freddy Krueger movies should have Paris Hilton, Avril Lavigne, Pink, and Gwen Stefani as victims that LOSE to Krueger.

...word has it, per various horror movie web sources, that the folks over at New Line Cinema is definately on the cusp of developing a prequel to the "Elm Street" series, depicting the murderous antics of Freddy Krueger, before he became our favorite dream demon. Reportedly, despite being over-burduned with other projects, actor Robert England definately wants to do it,
I personally hope that the 'dream demon' aspect will still be involved, in some way, or the film will pretty much just be a snickering generic serial killer film.
...supposedly, New Line is still toying with an idea for a sequel to "Freddy vs. Jason", and reportedly have not altogether abandoned the on-again/off-again concept of "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash" (...as in 'Ash', from the "Evil Dead" films!!!)
...stay tuned, I guess!!!
