What was the first The Who studio album in which "Join Together" appeared?

The song first came out as a single in 1972. However, I cannot find any album that it was a part of until 1982.

None. It was always a separate single, released in June1972, and not part of an original album. Just like The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields", it can only be found on compilations.

Was not released as a separate studio album. 1982 saw release of compilation Join Together

It looks like it was just a single, and wasn't released on an album till 1982...
