Yes I agree with some of you that the treatment of the environment and the workforce in china seems to be tarnished.

yes because the Chinese ppl that work to make jeans...toys etc...r treated horrible...they r communists..i saw this documentary with Chinese ppl that work in a factory nd many r like 16 17 yrs old nd they work days without sleeping(forced) nd when they want their money the boss is screaming at them...no comment...the live horrible..poor them!!:(

A lot. I try not to buy things Made in China because the quality is not very good most of the times. The cost on the other hand is less.

Why should I? I'm fed up with all these rumours about Chinese products which are spread in order to serve the interests of big manufacturers and industries who are losing money fast! Face it people! It's all made up! Take a good look at the labels on your clothes! Even Marks and Spencer items are manufactured in China! Should we stop buying clothes at Marks and Spencer stores???

Everything smade in China - you buy an Aussie flag it's made in China - you buy a stuffed Koala, it's made in China ...... so yeah I am starting to get REAL worried - what about OUR jobs .. locally owned and all that.

YES BUT WITH GOOD REASON. i KNOW FROM MY PASS JOB AS A OWNER/OPERATOR. I DO KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ,THE DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES SHIP OUR WASTE MATERIALS OVER THERE TO CHINA, LIKE OUR METALS THAT HAVE A HIGH READINGS OF RADIO-ACTIVE AND OUR PLASTIC THAT HAVE A BIT HIGH LEVELS OF PBCs IN THEM OF COURSE ALL PLASTIC HAS AMOUNTS OF THAT IN IT. YES AND THEN THERE OUR PAINT THAT HAS LEAD IN IT ,TOO. IT IS JUST LIKE THE JAPAN TO SEND US THINGS TO PUNISH US THAT WE DON,T EVEN THINK ABOUT. SHAME SHAME ON US.GOD BLESS AMERICA BEST BUY AMERICAN I TRY HARD TO TO JUST THAT.

Mainly on consumable goods, not so much tangible products with the exception of the paint they are using...

sometimes, it makes me think that what if china takes over? if they decided to stop giving us goods that we want who will? some stuff are things that we need also. what if they decided to stop trading with us? we would have to economize to fit our lifestyle because americans are spoiled.
