This is not a simple question & the answer is not something easily understood by any one. If I gave you the long version you probably would not accept the answer. Everyone thinks they know & their seeking is not for truth but rather to validate the beliefs they already have.Basically, you are endless & you don't die. It is all this that is not real & it falls apart because we can no longer hold the illusion together. Most of us have so much of our awareness hooked into the illusion that it feels like we are "dying". The catch is you have to REALLY know this on every level of your being to truly conquer death, & trust me, intellectual knowledge is not enough, you must own it.

You must let death conquer you, otherwise, being endless with the same old body would be no joy..... being endless ought to give more than that!!

It is a matter of identity .When we are not able to release ourselves from a state of actions and reactions death proves to conquer you andmakes us to go through the grind to give another opportunity.
