If it was as basic as self survival, we would have found these in animals as well. Yet you are almost there.... I agree that they are indeed closely related to the self......... such as self gratification, self appeasement, self pride, self protection etc. etc., in short, all manifestations of the ego.

They all are individual preferences spiced up by the genes, the culture and the food we eat.
Love and hate are the two qualities which can be monitored and adapted to make ourselves lovable or to be loathed.Behavior, habits, etc do influence love or hatred and may be the causes for anger.
Jealousy is a worst quality which will make you a loner in the world.Anger may come due to the food we eat our health condition, environment etc.
Basically to survive you need all these.Love the earth and the fellow beings, the other species, the environment etc.Hate bad vices and bad qualities and deplorable systems.Have greed to spread love education and other things which make everyone happy.Use anger as a fuel to fight exploitation and injustice and have jealousy to positively reach to the heights of the person you envy.

love has always been deep in every human being, even though not everyone can cope with that feeling...I do not know anything about hatred since I have no reasons to hate people (I am sorry if you do not want to believe me but I mean it), well...greed...depends..everyone gets hungry sometimes haha, anger -hard to hide that feeling, sadly, but usually it comes from fear or defense...well,and jealousy. That is a feeling in many of those people I know, which I cannot understand since I always had the feeling that there is no need to be jealous. Maybe because I am happy with my life and maybe because if I am not happy or want something what an other person has, I try to get it by myself instead of being jealous (maybe ask that person how he got it, get advice, "use" someone for my purposes in a good way instead of blaming him for something he has gained...etc.)

it could be are animal survival instincts , as time went on we started sharing things and looking after weak people, the seven deadly sins , where they planted in us or did evolution of man create it,or is it a feeling we have to learn not to control but to mould around it and make the negative positive. the power is in the hands of every human born on to this planet, feel sorry for people don't it them or hate them.the devil will win brownie points of any human using the 7 deadly sins, so he must of put them there, that means we are all well developed schizophrenics psychopaths. lets have it right what sort of man or women has got the balls to run up to a dinosaur and stab it in the eye to save there clan. so what we needed then we dont need now , but its still in our prehistoric brains and only rage can make us use that part of the brain, so never get angry, it could turn your hunter side into a murderer.example sas paras any soldier they are all hunting prey.

All of these things derive from awareness of self and desire. Buddhists would say the goal of life is to gain release from these things. That's awfully hard for me, and I don't even think I want to do it. While we live physical, self-involved lives it is unlikely one could survive without some degree of self awareness and desire, so love, hate, greed, anger, jealousy, envy, sloth and all of those things are difficult to avoid.

The fact that we are not alone, as all these thoughts are the realisations of the presence of other people like us around us.
But then how do we know, at all, that there are some other people around us? And more importantly, how do we figure out that they are like us that there are similar differences in between?
I think it is all because of a realisation of our own self, the more self-aware we get the stronger we feel for ourself, or for other people when they become a part of us either by love or liking, or by hate or disliking. But in order to feel all that we feel we have to be us to start with. Like mirrors we all are and reflections are the other people that we read in thoughts and emotions. I guess. Or may be like the surface of a lake that can also be in turmoil and confused at times.

Of course they are. Let me explain.
LOVE: It is an emotion that means we care about someone and that someone cares about us. It means protection and also the opportunity to protect someone. Protecting someone means pleasure, cause we feel that we are important and essential for one's life, so we are useful, and in nature everything useful has the right to survive.
HATE: We hate someone because he did hurt us, or we consider him as a threat to us and our survival. Hate gives us courage and strength to fight against this person if he wishes to harm us again. The more we hate him, we will use the most advanced and brutal methods to beat him. More advanced means more effective, and this helps our survival the best.
GREED: Intention to have more and more of sg. that helps our survival. I think it is needless to explain that one. The more money we have, the most comfortable we live. Comfortable means that survival is on an optimal level.
ANGER: Anger is similar to hate, however it is more concentrated and different in nature. If we hate someone, we also try to avoid him. Anger allows us to fight against familiars and friends as well. Anger is a fast way to ensure our position in a community or protect ourselves from certain threats.
JEALOUSY: it is similar to greed, but in this case we wish to have sg. that would help our survival and someone has it. And in this case there is always a possible solution: to take this particular thing form someone and use it to help our own survival.
I hope I could help. LOL

What I Love out of Life, is waking up in the Morning and thamking God for granting me another day of Life. What I Hate is wasting my day on something that takes my whole day, and I did not get to do the things I Love to do.

I can agree with you that some of it is survival, but you might agree that it does go deeper. We are human beings with greater intelligence and capacity than the other animals that we know of. This all means that we are human, with HUMAN emotions. In answer to your question, I suggest different stimuli have different effects in our brain, at a chemical level, and we label the causes. The reactions in our brain are attributed to specific causes - so we associate in our own way. We label our reactions with the words that you have suggested. Intelligent question!!

Nope.
They are natural ways( mechanisms) to know your self and others better for mutual rewards and to propagate the life further . In self -survival , you just kill.- like when faced with a Small thing like a mosquito , the first reaction is -kill it - that's self-survival

It is called being human. And yes, it is a survival mode in some instances. It is also the devil's tool. Listen to your guardian angel, they know best!
