You're having your baby today, congratulations! Yes, definitely bring your hospital bag with clothes and toiletries for yourself, maybe a magazine or book to read as well (though, you probably won't pick it up).
You'll need clothes to wear for when you leave the hospital. Unfortunately, you don't shrink down to your prepregnancy size right after the baby is out, so bring something loose and comfortable like jogging pants. You may still fit your maternity clothes if you'd like something nicer. Though, it's a bit depressing wearing maternity clothes when you're no longer pregnant, anyways don't fret your tummy will go back to normal in no time.
And don't forget to bring something for the baby to wear home! Hospitals have spare baby clothes they can dress your infant in while he's there but, feel free to bring your own sleepers for him/her. Hospitals will often offer to take a "professional" photo for you right before leaving time, so you may want to opt to bring a cute/dressy outfit to take him/her home in.
If it's a typical delivery you and your baby will only be there two days or so, so don't overpack. Trying to carry a child and a million bags out of the hospital at once is a pain.
And of course, don't forget the camera!
Good luck!

If you are being induced that means they are inducing labour ie the process of the baby being born, so you need your bag and anything else you wanted for labour. Best wishes you are about to become a mummy.

Generally yes, if you're expecting to be having a baby that is and I'm assuming you are!!
Bring all clothes including socks as your feet somehow get really cold when you are in labour, old undies you can chuck out if they get too bloody, maternity pads (2 pkts is good) nursing bras, toiletries, clothes, nappies and accessories for baby. Swimmers/bikini for if you decide to hop in the shower for pain relief and don't want people/midwifes seeing you naked just yet. They will see eventually but some people get self conscious.
plus snacks and spare clothes for hubby/birth partner as you could be in there for a while! Any birth aids, music etc you want for birth, but from past experience you won't care about it once labour starts.
Plus CAMERA, and charged mobile phone or money for a public phone as I'm sure there is someone expecting THAT phone call!
Good Lcuk

Hello Vick,
Now please do not worry..i have had two children.
Take some nice soap, flannel, not sanitary pads because they will provide good ones untill you leave hosptial.
Tooth brush...and night gown, slippers and something really comfortable to wear for after the baby is born.A good book for the evenings..atho i think you might get to chat to other mothers on the ward there..often the case and very good too!
Do not worry about being induced..tell the midwifes what you want, and move around as much as you can ..all helps upen up the cervix, and once you get to 5cm..it all happens pretty quick after that..the more relaxed you are ,the better..any music you wish to play?..pack it also.
finally ..enjot your new baby.take care

Yes bring your bag - you can leave it in the car so it can be retrieved later on if you need to stay in.
Take some plastic flip flops as well if you have any - you don't want to be standing with bare feet in an NHS shower.

Yes I would take everything you need including your new borns things. It is highly likely that you won't come home empty handed. ie; expect a baby at the same time, the baby is sure to come the same day. Good luck and let us know what you get.

yes take everything with you as they wont let you come home until the baby is born and the last thing you'll want is you get there and your birth partner have to leave you to go home and collect it!!
id probably take some magazines or puzzle books or something to pass the time until everything starts happening as it can take a few hours!! dont forget your notes either so the midwife can record everything as it hapens and refer to previous notes from the pregnancy so she knows of any medication or ailments youe had etc...
good luck with everything :-)
