Oh there are many practical, and profitable uses by the way, within our society.

If lined up properly and trained to move in synchronization, you did say they were smart, I can envision a car wash and buffing business. All natural!

If trained to remain still for long periods of time, I think they would make wonderful lawn art. When not on "display" so to speak, they would by very helpful in weed control , not to mention fertilizing their assigned area.

Placed on strategic corners they could be very effective as advertising sign wavers. I assume they can jump up and down. Quite the attention getter I would think.

And the best part is, no matter what you have them do, you don't have to pay them anything! They're not all THAT smart.

First thing that comes to mind is provoking terror by making the common man believe you are the king of an advanced, infra human llama society that will take over the world and forbid people to wear fur.
