I think it should, not only due to the life of the baby, but also the method of abortion.
Has anyone ever seen an abortion take place?
I remember back when i was in school at the end of my last year (must have been 15 coming up to 16), and in religious class we were all shown the method of abortion and seen real time footage of one taking place.
I was shocked as you would expect, i was actually quite sick and sad after seeing it. But im gald i saw it, because it did open up my eyes to the situation.
To me i see/saw it as a weird, brutal method of removing a baby from the womb, and it is classed as murder.
How can you have a medical badge and qualifications and so on, kill an unborn baby, and is classed as legal? If it is still in the womb and you kill it, it is classed as OK, but if its out of the womb its classed as MURDER?

It would actually help if some of you who commented were abit more mature and didnt jump to conclusions.
First of all, from the sounds of things, some of you have actually thought of abortion, and disagree with my comments.
Well think of all the cases out there who have babys at a very early age, cant care for it, DONT want it and what do they do? Decide to abort it. That isnt fair on the baby. And there are so many cases out there like this.
Your responsible for your own actions, aborting isnt a way to solve them.
Now you say that 'only christians are right wings nuts that say thing slike this', that is so ignorant and only something i would expect a silly kid to say, which i assume some of you are. With that being said, the more that you learn about something the more you understand. You dont have to have to be a female to understand, hell i probably know more than you do! But thats up for debate, im up for it!

ALSO.... why talk about rape and insest? These cases are very small compared to the cases which a baby is aborted due to it being an 'accident'.

I believe that abortion should only be available to those with a medical condition whereby the mother or child are/will be affected.
Abortions due to unwanted pregnany i think are dispicable, irresponsible and wrong.
Everything happens for a reason and if the child was meant to be then thats it, its meant to be.
No matter how old/young the foetus is, it is a living being with a soul, so yes, i think of abortion as murder, and the fact that medical proffesionals abort so late is wrong. I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks, and my daughter was basically a complete human being, with kidneys, bones, blood, even a heart.
Abortion should be available for those poor women who truly need it, not as an option for irresponsible behaviour and selfihness.

It's not legally murder until the baby is 6 months in the womb and they will not perform abortions then, so your theory about it being murder is wrong. I think abortion is fine. If a woman gets pregnant and can't take proper care of a child, then absolutely have an abortion. Why put another child into the foster care system or have that baby grow up with a mother who won't care for it properly? I think that's what is causing all the crime in the country. Girls having babies that shouldn't, then they never properly take care of the kids. They grow up to be uneducated and never taught the ways of the world, so they become criminals. If you ask me, more people need to have abortions.

Let's look at this question from the other side, if you were in a relationship and the woman fell pregnant but you didn't want it what would be the right thing to do?
I know there are precautions out there but nothing other than no sex is 100% safe.
So what happens in this situation, you'd expect despite not wanting it for her to go ahead and have the baby, possibly becominga single parent in the process??????? Life isn't simple and these things are NOT an easy option for women, yeah ok so maybe there are some out there that that's exactly what it is for them, the easy option but I really don't think people know what they'd do in that postion until it happens to them.
We can all sit and preach right up to that point it's your life it's happening to. I don't think anyone should be persecuted for their choice to terminate a pregnancy, if it's the right thing for that person then that's all that matters, not what anyone else thinks.
I agree with freedom of choice and that it's not a back street practise that leaves women dead or infurtile any more.

I'm towards abortion in view that we're in essence killing a human on the comfort of a further. In a case of being pregnant via rape, which happens in not up to one million% of all rapes, we will have to allow leniency however to simply enable an abortion for no quite a lot of days after the rape. Why will have to 3 folks undergo as a result of a rape? Any overdue time period abortions are fully despicable, it doesn't matter what the crisis. Pregnancies which can be lifestyles threatening to the mummy will have to even be aborted, however the ones are regularly detected within the first time period. I am towards homosexual marriage in view that it is going towards the entire intent of marriage, to defend the kids and whoever might not be the bread winner of the couple. If you had been to discover a further situation that has homosexual marriage, the Netherlands, you might see that marriage is declining generally amongst heterosexuals and homosexuals in view that snapshot of marriage has converted. It has misplaced its supposed intent. Also, marriage legislation are identical. Any guy can marry any girl, and any girl can marry any guy. Thats no longer discriminatory to me.

It's not just a simple yes or no really. I have never had one but who am I to say that it's murder?? When some of these silly girls/women continue to have abortion after abortion and do nothing to stop themselves getting pregnant, then yes that a disgrace!! We all make mistakes dont we? I dont agree with late abortion and certainly not multible abortions! There enough contraception out there not to keep having unwanted pregnancies!!!

Yes, abortion should be abolished. It's a massive, inexcusable human rights violation. It is a violent act; and many women are injured both physically and psychologically by abortion. Abortion clinic "counselors," boyfriends, parents, and husbands who pressure women to "choose" abortion are especially offensive.
Abortion takes a particularly heavy toll on minority populations--no doubt one of the goals of the wealthy "Planned Parenthood" donors. For example, without abortion, there would be about 15 million more African Americans. Just a fraction of this number could be enough to swing a presidential election.
Abortions to save the life of the mother are extremely rare, and those are the only ones I can justify. Although those who support abortion always love to talk about rape and incest it accounts for LESS than 2% of all abortions. (Check out the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute.) Before we spend too much time talking about rape and incest, let's talk about the other 90% of children killed for no good reason.
We know where babies come from, and we know what can be done to prevent their conception. There are 2 million couples looking to adopt; and birth mothers can choose which parents they want to raise their child. Birth mothers can even remain a part of their child's life if they want. In addition, there are thousands of pregnancy resource centers across the country to help pregnant women. Unlike "Planned Parenthood" and other abortion clinics, pregnancy resource centers are FREE. Finally, there are numerous government programs to help those in need with food, shelter, and health care. This being the case, there's no explanation for the 1.3 million abortions performed in this country alone every year.

No, it should not be. My close girlfriend had one at 17, and for her it was the best decision she could have made. The life the baby would have had, would not be something to be proud of. Would it be better for her and others like her to have these babies and then rely on the government (and tax payers) to help them, because they cannot get a decent job because they have no qualifications etc...just because they made one silly decision and got pregnant. Wouldn't it be better for them to make a mature decision and abort and then get on with their lives and be productive adults and then later on have children when they are in committed relationships and are better able to support themselves and any subsequent children.
You can't discriminate against all women for aborting. Its a case by case basis. What about women that are raped or get pregnant through incest?

Ah, well you were in a religious class--not a realistic class. You take everything they show you to be real...you're too trusting, my friend. You are not one that ever questions what your leaders tell you--I used to be like you at one time.
The fetuses don't even have higher brain function at the time of the abortion, did you know that? They can only do lower functions--basic survival. They don't feel pain and since you believe in God why worry anyway? In your beliefs they end up in Heaven immediately anyway, and the mothers go to Hell just like you'd like them to, right?
Abortions are a part of the life and death cycle. What about rape? What about people with internals too weak to handle full-term like myself? What about babies born with AIDS, or genetic diseases--would you have them live two or three years in terrible pain, or put them out of their misery before the innocent things had to experience pain even for a second?
I'm sorry, but you are misinformed. And if I get pregnant, it is my body and yes, I will have an abortion. I always practice safe sex, and my fiance is getting a vasectomy to prevent me getting pregnant. But there is still a chance. We are responsible as we can be, but we will never have children of our own. I am not going to pass on the genetics of an abusive father and schizophrenic genes of my mother. My fiance won't pass on the diseases of his family, either.
You have no right to tell anyone what to do with their bodies or anything within. And you are a man--and have no right to even discuss pregnancy since you don't even have the chance of ever experiencing it.

i've seen an abortion performed. a real one. not the phony one from The Silent Scream. abolishing abortions WILL NOT stop them. it will only drive them back to the back-alleys and the dark days of clothes-hanger abortions. do you honestly want that? do you even care about the woman involved?
down-raters, thanx for proving my point. y'all don't give a damn about the woman, just the non-thinking and non-feeling fetus.

I agree with you 100% that abortion is murder, but I do not believe it should be abolished. There are special circumstances that I think an abortion is forgivable. If the baby was concieved by rape or incest then the woman shoud have the right to abort it. But those are the only two circumstances I think are forgivable. Other than those two, I feel any woman who has an abortion should go to prison. It is considered murder.
