Even though what he said was disgusting, it's no different from what some rappers say and the whole situation was blown way out of proportion. Agree? Disagree?

I agree that it was blown out of proportion, and I think he gets the picture now. I would be delighted if he returned to radio, maybe as a pre-recorded show, so no future mistakes would go out over the air, and we could hear some of those great interviews again. he might even be able to record it from his ranch, since there's a studio there. Even more than Imus, I miss Chuck McCord reading me the news in the morning. Maybe something can be worked out.

He's and old lizard and I don't think he will make a come back.
I agree rappers say a lot of unacceptable things that others wouldn't get away with. The rappers defense is always the same, they are African American and they are just writing about what they saw growing up. Whatever, no excuse.
I think what Imus said was pretty over the line. Sometimes it's not just the words it's also the intent in which they are used.
"Nappy headed ho's" is way out there.
I've had arguments with African American girls and even in private I have never said something like that. I may say she is a b..ch, but I have never gone for the N. word, or anything to do with race, never.
He was talking about a whole group of women, collage educated women. He's and idiot and makes us all look bad.
I think he doesn't care for women in general, he's old school, a relic. Time to move on.

he's old and should retire. dude is like 70 years old and still talking like that? at least most rappers are in their 20's and once they mature a bit I'm sure they'll stop trying to act so hard all the damn time.
