all the reviews I've read always contradict each other......one guy says it's fast....another guy says it's slow......sheesh.......what's the real story?
What about the XFX GeForce 8500....is it any good?

Geforce 8500GT is just comparable to 7300GT in games but better in HD video. It can play many games at low settings. It will be miserable with Oblivion.
If you do not like the reviews, just compare the graphics cards using the benchmarks at Tom's Hardware (VGA Charts).
Many budget cards give good performance in video but awesome gaming performance only comes from GPUs with robust architecture and paired with fast videoram (ddr3).

it depends on how much ur budget lets u spend.
i recommend nvidia 8800gtx.
its about 600-700$.
but 738 mb ram, on pci express.

i have nividia 5500 , 256 mb AGP
i got it for 60 usd and works great
