adsl pc card is a bad idea if you want to share connections, but still doable with some complications.
Yes you can use blue-tooth for connection sharing but you must add a blue-tooth device on your desktop, which is probably expensive than buying an external adsl routing modem.
If you already have blue-tooth connection, then you can either enable Internet sharing on windows of desktop, or install a 3rd party proxy software.
But the best practice today is to buy an adsl-router which is $30 in these days and make a small home network to share broadband.

Yeah, we do it. Two portables, using different Win OS, one connected to ADSL modem and a bluetooth card. Internet sharing enabled in Win XP and second portable with Bluetooth USB dongle and it all works fine.

Of course the "master" laptop must be on first and it all sets up with the bluetooth wizard. File sharing, internet access and even downloading pics from photo phones all with bluetooth.

Yeah of course..!!

You have to setup a network. Go to Control Panel> Network Setup Wizard>
Click once> Cick Next two times > Select First Option
Then select the bluetooth DUN modem (If u use USB Modem then select USB Modem)

When the setting will be configured then u have to restart ur computer.

U should be able to share internet connection.

----------------------------------

After restarting u can manually set up ur and other PC's IP addresses.

Say, ur IP is;

192.168.110.2
Subnet MASK: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 0.0.0.0

DNS: NONE

For the other PC (Which will share the internet);

IP: 192.168.110.5
SUbnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.110.2 (it should be ur IP).

I hope that helps!!!!

Yes, but Bluetooth is quite slow compared with broadband. It's about ½ the speed of dial-up

You can but it will be very slow and unreliable. It only costs about £50 to get a wireless router so invest in one of those instead.
