Hold your breath around them and wear white -- they're attracted to carbon dioxide and dark colors. They also dissipate around smoke.

Honey bees will only "attack you " if you physically disturb the hive.Honey bees die when they sting unlike hornets, wasps, yellow jackets,etc. so they save it for emergencies. Honey bees are in trouble anyway because they are dying off from a mysterious ailment.. That means we are in trouble because they are the only way food crops are pollinated (fruits, etc). Without honeybees, not much food.
So the best bet is just leave them alone and they will do the same. All other stinging insects, RUN.(And Ortho Wasp& Hornet spray kicks butt..)

Simple, leave them alone.Honey bees are not aggressive no matter what the media says.We have a hive in our back yard and children play around the hive!

You could try wearing red. According to studies, honey bees can't see red. They aren't attracted to red flowers. Don't know for sure though. Tell me if it works.

the best advice : STAY AWAY FROM GARDEN, and school, and home... ANTHING, except if you are living in space or in the atlantic ocean or in the artic..

the worst advice : is following my advice AND THOSE advices up there!
